I remember watching imran farhat on his debute…he seemed to have alot of time for his shots…but most of his strokes were off the back foot…i watched the earlier part of innings..and he was patient but flurted with odd ball out side off stump and missed the ball coz of his lack of footwork..
he reminded me of another player, Sadagopan Ramesh…who looked awsome against wasim waqar, shaoib in his first series…blayed breath taking strokes…but when bowlers figured out the way to ball at him…he is just not half as good a player as in his first series.
imran nazir is another one of these players....
he can really play the ball like no one else can, when its outside the off....
but throw it on his legs or let the ball drift down the leg side and imran has no clue how to play it....
so bowlers soon discovered his problem and it took them just a couple of deliveries on his legs to get him out....
imran farhat too seems to have problems with balls coming in to him....
It depends on how good his hand-eye cordination is. Saeed Anwar didnt use to his feet correctly most of the times either but he was still a class act. If you see Saeed batting most of his shots that he played outside off stump he was playing too far away from his body. Any other batsman would probably have not gotten away with that but because Saeed's hand-eye conrdination was soo good he times those to perfection. I think Imran is very talented. If used correctly with a little guidance from Miandad he will be one of the most explosive batsman in the coming years.

dont realy agree on saeed anwar...i followed his career very closely and first part of his career he was exclusively front foot player and being a front foot player he cant be someone with bad footwork...and the change that he made in 2nd half of his career was to improve his backfoot player especially on the off side.
