Imran Farhat's Batting technique

Four Matches Gone, and I m still unable to see Imran Farhat Batting…
I have seen highlights of all the matches, but still I am unble to see our Opening partnerships on all occasions…
but i ahve read on Cricinfo’s commentary regarding Imran farhat’s Shots…

what I need you guys, specially saby, ehsan and Umair, if you can brief me on his style.. does he play cracking and stylish shots or his shots are jsut normal.
is he going to be another Amir Sohail for Pakistan,(his knock of 82 today had 14 4’s) and same was the course in the previous matches.

please provide me some views on his batting style, his goods and his bads..

thanxx..

CB-- he is not like Aamir sohail but more like Saeed Anwar due to his brilliant off-side play and perfect timing. Though he still has a lot to learn to achive anywhere near Saeed but his strokeplay is very pleasing to watch and he is aggressive and cavalier in his approach.

i havent seen viv richards batting alot so i dunnoe:D

but he's a class act..

some what like taufeeq umar but the way he stands is different

Imran Farhat’s Technique

when Farhat plays - he doesn't have butterfiles in his stomach.

Thanx.. Saby, Nikemmaa and everyone..

The Game Responds:

*He looks very similar to Saeed Anwar in most of his strokeplay, from what I have seen. People, That Is All.*

All I can say is that he has good technique :k:

He is a good find and has performed very well in the recent matches. However, he takes the aerial route, especially on the offside, on too many ocassions and that could be his undoing. I will wait and see how he performs on the NZ tour before making up my mind whether we have found a good and reliable opener.

He is an agressive batsman, very much like Saeed Anwar with super timings and excellent Cover Drive. I remember when Boycot came to Pakistan as the batting coach, he mentioned Imran Farhat as the best prospect in Pakistan with excellent foot works and no major faults.

Imran Farhat looks technically very sound, though I think he needs to loosen up a little. When in batting stance his right shoulder is very stiff. Just like Saeed Anwar though he plays at times away from his body but has suck a good hand-eye cordination that it hasnt gotten him in too much trouble so far.

I don't see any similiarty between Anwar & Farhat except for one shot which he plays on the offside which LM mentioned above.
He always looks to be struggling earlier on, but gets settled, I like his temprement especially in the first 15 overs which lacks in young Pakistani batsmen these days.
