Bhai, Sharif may not have even seen Rs 20 million in 60s, but it is unfortunate that many Pakistanis get confuse with million and lac .. and think that when they want to write 20 lac in English, they should write 20 million .. without knowing that 20 million is not 20 lac, but 200 lac or 2 crore.
As this report is of 60s, it becomes more obvious that person is talking about Rs 20 lac … rather it could be even Rs 20 thousand, as in those days, even 20 lac was tooooooooo much as in 60s, most big bribes were of the order of few hundreds and only some used to reach 4 figures (Rs thousand). … Just imagine, a Toyota Corolla in 1971 used to cost around Rs 20000 (Rs 20 thousand … that means, for 20 million, one could have bought 1000 Toyota cars in 1971 … forget 60s).
