Improving your Punjabi

LOL cuz whatever u wrote is actually a combo of seraiki and punjabi both..

Congratulations, first of all!

Few weeks in Pakistan and you will be good to go - trust me!

Also, if there is somewhat of a language barrier - then I am surprised at the match. But I guess you're willing to learn so it's all good.

lol its my mom! whenever she is angry or wants to order or command she speaks saraiki and then she switches to punjabi so i know both lol. . .

i guess combo is good:p as long as i know punjabi i am cool.. atleast when i can go to pakistan i can converse with the shopkeepers etc and also i can talk to my nani ammi who does not know urdu really well ... i am proud that i know punjabi... my mama wanted me to know punjabi so i can communicate with my elders and also because it is my mother tongue... just because i was born in england does not mean that english is my mother tongue even though i gave igsce and a lvl english and english literature first language... that besides the point.. my mother tongue is punjabi and i am proud of the fact that i know it!!! :D thaaait punjabi boool laini aaa :D

^ Then perhaps u can converse with asimscot..

(anyone for seraiki tutorials can alert me!)

Re: Improving your Punjabi

yeah I think my Punjabi is improving daily with my wife's although she can speak good English, but not fluent as myself. I have a sense of fear when speaking punjabi as I have made mistakes in Punjabi and I feel embarrassed when I see the facial expressions of my friends and family including my wife's sometimes they laugh there heads off, which I don't mind a wee laugh here and there, but it gets to a point where its annoying.

Re: Improving your Punjabi

lol... mix punjabi with english lol

Re: Improving your Punjabi

I can understand fully but cannot speak fluently :(. It requires practice while we here in Pakistan 99% of time speak Urdu
