sorry this is offtopic but i read the very same article (was it guardian?) about a year ago and it totally was an eye-opener! it’s why i would only love to volunteer in pakistan. it’s better when you know the culture and can empathise and understand the people well.

Except they’d judge you for your mahdren clothes and manly voice. Well, at least the clothes can be remedied. Chins up.
