Sajal, there are some tests that can be done very early on which can determine problem pregnancies. In addition to the regular ultrasound and bloodwork, theres a test called CVS (Chorionic Villi Sampling) done in the 10th or 11th week of pregnancy and it tests for any genetic abnormalities.
