Maddy and Shikra -in this case i think wearing a seatbelt would have resulted in more damage...(although i dunno if he was wearing it)...since the truck hit from the left side (on the side that he was sitting on and hence thats why his left elbow is fractured)...it all went in from there...if he had been wearing a seat belt he probably wouldve been even more hurt...cuz it wouldve crushed right into him :(

i heard pakistan truck drivers be half drunk/drowsy from drugs etc and alot of the drivers be kids....is that true? when i went pak, i remember seeing many trucks/buses fallen over from mountains and the wreck being left there....like its some kind of a museum piece....

apparently they dont service them often and the suspension etc breaks....thats when they fall over...thats why i hate being next to a pakistani truck (when overtaking etc)....i always get the feeling its gonna fall on top of the car im sitting in.

A safety belt in such a situation would prevent even damage from being done to him, since the force of being thrown against the other side of the car as well would result in the risk of significant damage. in a car crash the g-forces amplify your weight several times over - seat belts prevent your own weight from killing you as you get thrown around within (and out of) the vehicle.

Once he’s recovered I’ll show you a wonderful video illustrating this.

yeah actually the car did get thrown over 6/7 feet away. yeah show me the video when he has recovered insha-allah.

Impulse i am really sorry to hear about what has happened. The fact that your fiance is OK and has not suffered any major injuries is a blessing from Allah, and i thank him for this.

Dont stress yourself too much over this matter and remember that Allah is the most merciful and benificent.

The injuries don't seem serious. He'll be fine. Try not to stress too much.....it doesn't help.

ive just found out that my fiance was involved in a car accident with a truck that hit on the side that he was on he’s fractured some bones in his elbow/shoulders and is in hospital now (he cant even move)…so please pray for him. if something worse had happened to him, i dont know how i wouldve lived

i didnt know about the accident…it happened this morning when he was coming back with his boss from some meeting in another city. anyway, when i called an hour ago, he was just talking normally…he didnt even tell me about the accident…so i said to him “were u sleeping? you sound different?”…he said no he wasnt sleeping and just changed the subject. then after a while i asked again if hes ok…and he said i have to promise i wont get worried if he tells me. i said i wont and thats when he told me…it happened many hours ago but he didnt tell me cuz he didnt want me to get worried
he said hes injuries are less compared to the boss’s and the drivers but still its scary. them trucks in pakistan scare me anyway i was crying but he kept saying hes ok and then the phone got cut off.
when i tried calling now after an hour, there was no answer so he must be sleeping. i’ll let him rest now and will call in the morning. I pray all 3 of them are ok.

Impulse, thank Allah your fiance is not injured for rest of life or worse Inshallah your fiance will recover soon and will be fine til your marrige date

he's doing well now...he's arms been bandaged and theyve given a few medicines but they've sent him home now.....the pain still keeps coming back...and he said he feels pain all over...the doctors said that was cuz of the effect/impact of the crash on the whole body. but overall hes doing ok. thanks for your prayers everyone :)
