Some insensitive @## posted a video of his dead body. Several people have requested the owner of the video to remove it including Moin Akhtar’s family, but the video is still up. It’s very disrespectful and repulsive. Can everyone please report it? Youtube generally removes videos if it has enough votes.

*it's a common practice to show the face at the grave site for the last glimpse [deedaar] of the deceased. i think this clip was shot at that time just b4 burial. it may be considered in bad taste in 2011 in the west but it is a norm back home even now.

I don't think you heard me correctly, but Moin Akhter's FAMILY has requested that this video be taken down. It may have been filmed while the dead body was being transported for burial. We should respect the family's wishes regardless of our own opinion!

There are three to four videos that have been copied and uploaded on youtube...if one goes other will be put up again...people don't understand for some reason - just because every other ghudha gets a camera wala phone and suddenly everyone is a pepperazzi in his/her head...

I've emailed people on the youtube community about this issue. Hopefully there is a faster way of getting rid of all these videos other than flagging them. But in the meanwhile, let's continue to flag them.

Our media stoops too low for TRP's AAJ TV for whatever it is should not have telecast these clips. If the deceased family's has objected than their privacy needs to be respected. The perosn should not have posted this video anyways don't see what people would get out of looking at a dead body. 'The last deedar at graveyard' is for family and relatives before burial not for putting on youtube without consent of family.

I dont find it offensive or disrespectful to be honest but in the end i am not related to it i am just an outsider. if related people i.e. his family are hurt to see a clip of his dead body in public then their decision should be respected and the video should be removed.

just like to add , we need to be careful with technology, the whole world doesn't think straight you never know some freak might tweak this video for his sick fun. Easy access to mobile phone cameras calls for more responbility.... we need discretion and should respect privacy rights.

If it was some other country - nothing would happen ... the developed world or west as we call it ] has seen/published the morgue pictures of historical figures such as Joseph Stalin, Chairman Mao, Benito Mussolini, John F Kennedy, Pol Pot, Rasputin and Evita Peron along with celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Lenny Bruce, Tiny Tim, Sharon Tate, Kurt Cobain and many more.

Not sure when and why this became an argument on expertise on law and the history of morgue pictures.
The facts are simple-someone filmed him without his family's permission or knowledge and published the video all over the web. That is a clear invasion of privacy and disrespectful of the family's wishes, who have repeatedly contacted the owner to take down the video. Case closed!! stop making this about yourselves folks! ( unless you are his son/daughter/ widow)
