Religions do talk about sex and its not taboo. In Quran there are verses like about the relationship of husband - wife '“They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them…”. Its also mentioned at various places of Quran that what is basis of human life by referring to semen.
Religion doesn’t like illegal relationship (which we can term free sex). I think, no society (whether religious or irreligious) would like to see children whose father is not identified irrespective of how open the society is to freedom of sex.
