Today im 56 days late from my due date…i did the test last time on 13th and it was negative…im not doing more tests…they are so frustrating 
now im sure its just my cycles messed up…asal main i stopped taking bcp and after that i had the withdrawl bleeding as usual…then got my first natural cycles on 25th june (after 45 days back) and here im now…still waiting for the next one 
Im not doing any more tests now…i have an appointment with the OBGYN on 27th of this month…lets see what she evaluates!!!
khairz i hope i hear some good news soon…baby dust upon all the “wanna be moms”

aww CB hug consider next month an opportunity to start fresh. thats what i'm doing too. eat better, work out, focus on the positives. iA we'll get there soon!
ae, i'm glad you're going to see your OB! get those cycles regulated ASAP. i'm going to go see my doctor and get my thyroid checked and my estrogen/progesterone levels too. my girls have been in serious pain the past 12 days and i never have any issues with them.

Question, can blood tests tell exactly when the woman ovulated?
And anyone had their harmone blood test done? does it include estrogen /progestrome level checks?

Question, can blood tests tell exactly when the woman ovulated? And anyone had their harmone blood test done? does it include estrogen /progestrome level checks?
Blood tests look for levels of progesterone. Progesterone levels start to rise a few hours before ovulation and peak about 7 days after ovulation. It then starts to drop unless offcourse you're pregnant. I would suggest that you ask your doctor about blood test along with ultrasounds. Those combined are the best way to monitor ovulation - or atleast were in my case.

CB- I've finally been referred for blood tests, am not quite sure what to expect although I know progesterone levels will be checked. I was told I'd need to have bloods whilst on my period ( inthe first 3 days) and then on day 19 of my cycle to check for porgesterone. I'll share more details as soon as I know.

not sure... i know temping does and opk's i'm familiar with, too... i wonder what day of the cycle you'd have to test blood to see if ovulation occured if cycles aren't normal... hrm...

SCG - I had blood tests on day 3, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 14. I had them along with ultrasounds every time and they measured progesterone levels and looked for LH surge. The ultrasounds helped to see if I had an mature follices. And then after the LH surge I had an ultrasound about 36 hours later to check to see if the egg had been released.

As Ramsha stated,that is the usual course they follow to monitor the cycle,especially when you are taking fertility drugs ..to monitor the exact time when ovulation will occur…
SGC…What do you mean by specialist…??..Reproductive endocrinologist…??..If so,yes they are the ones who do all the work to keep track of the cycle with blood works and ultrasounds monitoring…

Yes SGC it was a specialist....I had to get a referal from my family doctor but it wasn't hard I just went in there and told her we'd been trying for a year, she did some blood tests to check for hormone levels and wanted me to go see an OB but I insisted on an RE and she agreed. I would suggest to anyone that if you're having issues it is much better to seek help sooner rather then later. We wasted a year, even though I knew I had ovulation issues.

i have a question about the luteal phase. when calculating it, i know you start counting the day after ovulation, but when do you stop? the day you start spotting or the first day of full flow?

So the agonising 2 week wait is nearly over..... however I have major PMS!!! Am feeling really depressed!!! Almost wish I would just come on so I can get it over with to start again!!
