Hi everyone. I can attest to this organization’s good will and the great works which they have done in the past for Pakistan.
Please read up on the website and if you can and feel that you should, then please support this fundraise call.
Thanks,
Please ‘ChipIn’ and make a $50 or $100 contribution to support Impak.
We’ve had some major accomplishments over the past few years and we realize that now, more than ever, Impak is needed in Pakistan. Today we’re taking the right steps to build an institution that will create a channel for everyday people to come and contribute to Pakistan.
What is happening now:
20 active provisional Board Members in the US, UK and Pakistan are guiding the organization
Hired a Pakistan-based Program Manager
Setting up meaningful project opportunities with partner organizations on the ground
Where your money is going:
Supporting 25-40 Summer Fellows in 2009
Building the capacity of Pakistan-based organizations working in key areas such as health, education, infrastructure, human rights, gender, and media
Helping Impak and its staff run the program with the highest standards for effectiveness and transparency
I’m counting on you for your support and every little bit is a valuable contribution:
could you tell a little bit more about the organization?
looks like they sent 15 ppl in summer 2005 and then 15 in 2006.
There is no real info on what projects they worked on, goals, activities, results.
intentions look good, not enough information is provided.
they still stand? alright, i will happy to share the contact number for the org and you are welcome to call them and ask. perhaps i am not able to explain as best as i should.
You posted this here as an organization that is doing good work.
I asked you details on the good work.goals, names of projects, locations, results etc etc.
Its not that you are not able to explain as well, I need specifics, and that info is simply not listed on the website. and from what i see there seems to be a gap in their work, which is not explained.
so what did they work on, and results.Plus are they planning to work on, objectives, plans and approach.
from what i know, they have gone back in kashmir and other areas hurt by devastating earth quake in the past, and did reestablishment work there. some have conducted studies and have carried out surveyed, the needs assessment kind of and hopefully when next year's group will go in, they will do something productive in the way of capacity building individual lives and the lives of the impact communities.
reestablishment, needs assessment, capacity building, impact communites. all good buzz words. I am not doubting that they are indeed doing that work, I am just trying to find out more specifics. These are natural questions that will arise in minds of people.
AQ- that is why I asked for more info since the website does not have it. Its not just for my use, but these are teh same questions others will have in their mind as thet see the site, The goal is not to be critical, its to be more informed.
