Pathani, thats a good one! I was personally much nastier - I was being stalked when I was in college - scary thing - and so I carried a spray bottle of pure ammonia.
another helpful tip - learned from my Seifu in kung fu class - stomp on the top of the foot of your attacker, where the skin is thin, on the top of the arch. There are SO many nerve endings in this area that a good stomp will just about cripple even the heartiest of attackers.
