Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
nadz I am getting my daughter's vaccination done from Agha Khan University Hospital. From what I have searched on internet the vaccinations are the same everywhere I think the one that is not here is specifically for girl child only....I don't remember the name. You can search Pamper's Pakistan website it has name of many of vaccines.
Honestly , all hospitals and all private clinics offer immunisation services but don't trust everyone it's a very important matter. I am too much concerned about the needle/injection they use and how they keep the vaccine and all and if they really know where & how to inject. Though most of the vaccines comes with it's own needle but I believe for BCG the hospital use it's own. BTW BCG and polio vaccines/drops are funded by govt and all other vaccines expenses would have to be borne by you. Since it's a third world country please also immunise her for rota virus & hep A too. Rota virus vaccine is very expensive but nothing matters more than you baby right.
Don't go to Agha Khan's small hospitals all over the city just go to the main hospital there at COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE they do immunisation.
The above is all I can think of now if you need to have any info you can PM me.
Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
HPV - The human papillomavirus vaccine is the one I was talking about which is only for girls and I assume it for prevention of cervical cancer. This vaccine is not a part of the general immunisation schedule in Pakistan.
Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
hmmm, thing is im getting all the injections done here, she will be 5months when she goes. im talking about the ones that pakistan kid MUST have, which may not be given here, plus i think hep a etc is all given here. not sure about the HPV.....HMMMM
Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
PAKISTANI babies are also human babies. They don't get any out of the world vaccines. Children's immunisation goes on for many years ....you are not done with them in few months.
BTW the vaccines are made my pharmaceutical companies and everywhere in the world children get same vaccines.
Remember to immunize your child!!!
Isn’t it odd how time just seems to fly when it comes to your children? One minute you’re being hauled into a scary room full of lights and peoplein white with stethesopes, thinking this could possibly bethe clearest, and perhaps the most wonderful, memory you will carry for years and years to come. The next you’re watching your baby open her eyes, give that precious toothless smile, grab her pudgy feet, run her fingers over your face, cry ‘MA!’, push herself into crawling.. so many memories, you forget to keep track. Each one of them imprinted in your mind, filed and kept neatly away to smile and reminisce over forever. Then there are those memories you would rather not think about.
Her first baby injection. The way she smiled with such unfathomable trust at you just before the needle jabbed and broke skin. Then the shock, the instant scream of anger and the look that yells ‘*how could you DO this to me?’ *. my poor baby. She turns seven months in just a few days, and i’m STILL not used to the way it makes me feel every time it happens. But it has to be done, right?
Child immunization is the first step every parent takes to ensure a healthy life for their little one, everyone knows that. And everyone knows that getting all those baby vaccinations done on time should be top priority for every parent, right? But if you’re a parent like me, you’ll sympathise when i say i’ve had one too many moments where i randomly pick up my baby’s file and realize i’ve missed her innoculation date by a few sundry days. Its a horrible feeling, i assure you. Don’t get me wrong, my little baby is my world. She always comes first in everything. But for some unfathomable reason, these innoculation schedules have always got the best of me. What i wouldn’t have given for some form of magic being to come at precisely the right moment and smack some of those vaccination reminders into my brain so i never have to feel like the innadequate parent again. And that’s when a friend told me about Ivaccine.
Okay, so i can’t promise you the quintesential genie-in-a-bottle, but if ever there was an application that came close, this is the one. It literally handles everything for me! All it takes is a simple selection of which country’s immunization schedule i want to follow (over 20 of those from around the world, too!), a quick entering of my baby’s age and name and picture (for that essential personal touch) and cest, voila! All my horribe parenting scares gone out the window-my princess never missed a single injection again! I have my own personal innoculation alerting system, immunization log and schedule (literally) at my fingertips! And what’s more, every injection has a tag description which tells me exactly why, when and how many doses i need for my baby’s immunization to be complete. I’ve told all my friends about this application, it really is my own personal paediatrician on the go! Now i can be relaxed and not worry about remembering injection schedules because i know that all that has been taken care of ![]()
Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
Hey!
I was having trouble figuring out which vaccines were needed for my child and when they were due. I tried looking for some resources online but it was a bit of a hassle copying the info down so that its easily accessible :s
So i looked some more and came across some great apps to do this for me.
incase you’re interested, try out iVaccine.

Re: immunisations for babies in pak?
if you are going to pak from uk, ask your GP to write down the injections required and when to give them, they r all available in Pak... injections come with their own syringes too so no need to worry.
