Immigration to canada/australia

Can anybody refer a gud consultant who anyone of u had experience with, in rawalpindi/ islamabad? Or any other useful links how one can apply for immigration? How much funds u require etc etc? Any responses wud be appreciated.. Thanks

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

For Canada:, there is no need to pay a stupid consultant, they take your money and most of the time, mess it up.

Even if you hire one, it is YOU who must still provide all the documents, police certificates, passports, etc for the application, as well as the money.
He will just fill the forms, and mail them. Why do you want to risk someone else messing it up?

The forms, and the requirements, and the procedure are all explained in the guides on Citizenship and Immigration Canada (govt) website. That is all you need, just follow the guide and fill up the forms, etc and you’re good to go. It takes a bit of work. I have seen consultants mess up people’s cases and end up with bans or refusals. Most of these consultants don’t even know proper English, how can you trust them for your future ??.

Do it yourself, there are internet forums where u can post questions free of charge and people help u out. There is no need to hire anyone.
It’s easy but a lot of work in the beginning.

Do it yourself and save your money.

Australian immigration is the same, too. Do it yourself.

As always, refer to the official websites for ALL the info, don’t believe what random people say or tell you. These countries have all the info on their official websites.

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

i've heard [not sure] that these immigration lawyers provide false documentation [420 tareeqe se] to your application to make it look good on papers [hence satisfying Canadian Immigration requirements]. i know a few guys personally who provided bogus/false/fake documentations and were successful.

i've also head [no proof of course] that the immigration staff at Canadian Embassy in Islamabad are bribed by those lawyers and hence the applications are accepted without verifications, only because they look good on papers.

wallaho 'aalam bissawaab!

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

I doubt if that's the case, specially these days. There were few staff that were fired when such scandals took place many many yrs ago.

Always best to do it with the proper/correct documentation.

Fake docs are used by those who otherwise can't qualify

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

oh i see...looking at the number of immigrants coming to Canada ]especially from the Middle East suggests that may be some other immigration officers at Canadian Embassy abroad have been bribed recently.

indeed, these crook immigration lawyers' services are sought by crooks hopefuls who want to come to Canada by hooks or by crooks.

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

Don't worry and do not think too much about the settlement/housing part.
Everyone who immigrates to Canada goes through this, even those who got relatives here. It's very easy to find accomodation and jobs.
There are so many websites and forums where u can get arrangements quickly and without hassle.

DO NOT pay anyone for help to get a job. You will find it on your own when you arrive here. Beware of shady consultants who promise a lot but nothing once they got your money in their pockets.

Canada is very welcoming and you have a ton of resources and help for newcomers. Just go ahead and apply for Canada.
CIC website is your source for ALL the information.

Let me know if you need help later in the process, I can point you to many forums/websites, etc that are helpful in settlement, specific for Canada and newcomers.
Unfortunately I can't help much on Australia.

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

@Gujranwalay : r u living in canada? N also do let me know that if i apply, wud my hubby will eligible to work there as well?

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

yes we’re in Canada.

Whoever meets the criteria (you or your husband) will be the “principal applicant”. Rest of the family will be “dependents”.
The whole family gets immigration (Permanent Resident status) once you pass the medical, security and eligibility, etc and get your visas and arrive in Canada.

As a Permanent Resident, you can live, study or work, anywhere in Canada. Only thing is you cannot vote and can’t get top govt jobs as the criteria for those is that you must be citizen first. Most PR’s end up getting citizenship within few years

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

Sorry for re-opening up the tread again,

I was contemplating applying for a visa - so looking at options which country better job opportunities.....AUS or CAN are the only 2 nations which have the opportunity to apply without a sponsor.

Any suggestions??

I am not looking at getting any help from consultants... :-)

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

Both countries are good.

What many have done in the past, is to apply for both, and go to the one which grants you visa first.

Winter may be less harsh in Australia (Sydney, for example), compared to any Canadian city. Winters are very long and harsh here. Australian standard of living may even be better than Canada's, it's far from USA so it's less effected by anything connected to the USA. Whereas Canada is next to US and gets effected by US markets, etc.

You may also consider Denmark, UK and New Zealand but it may be limited in selection criteria for immigration.
Aus and Can seem to be the prime destinations these days due to open immigration programs

Re: Immigration to canada/australia

In-Shaa Allah, have thought to proceed with the idea of OZ…it is closer to home and I personally do not like cold weather…
