it might sound silly but I need step by step recipe of imli ki chutney and allobukhare ki chutney.. All I have right now is dried imli and aloobukhre.. now what to do and how to start?
Re: imli aur allobukhare ki chutney...
I know imli ki chatni
Take 1/4 cup of dried imli, soak in 1 cup hot water for 2 hrs. Then press through chan'ni, you'll get the paste. Put it in pan, and simmer over low heat, put 2 thsp sugar, kutti hooi laal mirch 1/4 tsp and 1/4 tsp Salt.. Cook until its thickened.
Thats it.
Dont know about allo bukharay ki chatni.
Re: imli aur allobukhare ki chutney...
Ammi jsut made this for Ramadhan. For a more accurate recipe, I say try searching it online. For a rough one, read on.
They way Ammi made it was I think half-half Aloo bukhara and imli. I suppose you could vary the amounts depending on how khatti or meethi you want it. Soak in water overnight or in hot water for a few hours. Squeeze the seeds out. Now add sugar (i like brown sugar better but white works fine too), salt and pepper according to taste. Cook and simmer until thick. You can then strain it, cool it and store in the fridge in a dry, airtight container.
