I am assuming ... to avoid the off-site linking... or to make sure NO IMAGES are posted in forums like Cafe with Img Tag.. though it is enabled in few forums for example, one is Poetry... for good reasons.

Diddo, since the image upload is working again, I have diabled tag again, as many guppies were posting external images all over GS. Waisay bhi it was never enabled in cafe anyway :D

I still don't see why external image links can't be put in here. I read Azkar say that it reduces the integrity of the posts over time as other sites might close and/or remove those pics. But what about all those posts where guppies remove the pictures themselves after a few hours. Where's the integrity gain there? I hate going to a thread and suddenly there aren't any pictures and everyone's like "oh how sexy". Reminds me of that old abbreviation KLPT :)

All such threads a closed on GS, besides members can only delete whatever they posted within the first 24 hours of posting. Whereas, pictures posted on image hosting sites are mostly automatically delete after a certain time of inactivity, which will leave a deadlink to the pic in the thread. :)
