I was reading the unfortunate death of 3 year old imanae malik at the hands of incompetent doctors at doctor’s hospital. Her father set up a website for her at: Imanae Malik Killed by Doctor’s Hosptial Lahore, Punjab Pakistan. The doctors on call gave the poor girl 3 lethal doses of anesthesia over a simple burn and she went into cardiac arrest. Instead of owning their mistake and trying to revive her, they asked the family to take her to chidlren’s hospital since they didn’t have a baby’s ventilator. She was declared dead at children’s hospital upon arrival.
This story is so disturbing and frustrating at SO many levels that I don’t know where to start. These a— h— at doctor’s hospital charge exorbitant rates to see their patient and pretend they are better than everyone else just because they are a ‘private’ hospital. All the while the management is making ridiculous amounts of profits by hiring incompetent staff which is underpaid and over worked.
The arrogance of their senior doctors and management is unbelievable. My father went there to get his heart checked because his EKG wasn’t coming out normal. The cardiologist dismissed angiography (a traditional way of analyzing the heart ) as ancient and did a supposedly more advanced (and expensive test ) using radio isotopes. Either he didn’t perform the test correctly or he didn’t know how to read the results, but he told my father there was NO blockage in his heart, whereas my dad’s main artery was 85% blocked (which was later diagnosed by Punjab institute of cardiology). I don’t even want to imagine what would’ve happened if my dad hadn’t trusted his instincts and gotten retested by Punjab institute of cardiology.
Hospitals such as Doctor’s Hospital should be permanently shut down and the management thrown in jail!!!
