It is time to treat Imams as professionals, and thus subject to the rules for basic qualification and code of conduct.

For too long Imam's in the West and in Pakistan have been treated as a non-professional and thus there has been little effort to standardize the practice of hiring and firing Imams.

Think about it. If an imported IT or a doctor behaves unethically, there are laws in place to punish him. And yet Imams like Bakri or this Hilali cartoon continue to live off the society without any consequences for their sub-par behavior.

It also the right time to rely more on the locally born and educated Imams and drastically reduce the import of dimwit people in the name religious leaders. To some degree this has already started happening, and visa consulates in Pakistan are now very strict about granting permission to the so-called religious leaders.

I am from Sydney and I can tell you from personal experience that this so-called “Sheikh” is a fraud and an attention whoring idiot. I’ve not only watched the video but read other reports that are not owned by News Corp. and they can attest to the fact that this idiot lied.

So stop defending him just because he claims to be “pious”. Anyone who has been to Lakemba knows that it is a dump full of backward-mindedMuslims** who don’t go back to their own countries.**

Please read the entire post and dont take statements out of context. He was specifically pointing to backward-minded Muslims who enjoy all the benefits of living in a first world country and then claim that everything in the country is absolutely bad.They try to reform the country that they live in and not the country that they belong to and owe their allegiance tol.

He has a history of making farcical statements against his adopted country. He does nothing but makes Muslims in Australia look bad.

You need to stop defending every Muslim on Earth, especially when they are guilty of wrong-doing. Would you defend al-Qaeda supporters now?
