If one day the world woke up to discover all the mordern artillery,weapons of mass destruction and explosives have been nicked off this entire planet. Would you feel the world to be a safer place or more dangerous? Imagine nobody guarding your borders,banks and other possessions with aid of these weapons would it reduce the amount of bloodshed going in the world?
PS:i am not talking about knives and other tools like hammers.although they have been used as weapons. this is about weapons that are designed strictly for fighting.
I think it would still be a dangerous place but on much smaller scale. Right now the mankind is perfectly capable of killing the entire planet with all the modern weapons.

I would not be too worried as the "attacking" country would not also have those dangerous weapons. I think we would all be able to defend ourselves on a more equitable scale. Today if a country able to afford all these weapons decided to use their force against 3rd world country..well you know the outcome. Just my Humble view.
eliminating these toys wont gonna create ny difference.
any combat is won through smart strategies.
how, when n where to use these toys is a work of man.
so prevent all these only depandant on good education. (holding a degree wont necessarily means u r educated. it also dont mean u enable to distinguish b/t good n bad. it comes with compassion. feel peace, faith n spread them.)
so far best strategy dat have inspired me is the one used in “Ghazwa-e-Khandaq”…(i believe there wasnt n blood shed). it happened all cuz of Smart Strategy delivered by Salman Farsi
n modern mass destrucition weapon that i find gore than anything are biological ones. like a T-virus (gamers might know wat i m talking about :halo:)
hmm combats are always going to be there, so will be bloodshed. But in this one field i've lately been wishin technology wasnt so advanced. It has turned us insensitive and inhumane. Fighting a duel with sword keeps the number of casaulties far lesser in comparison with missile launch or cluster or napalm bomb and atomic has been the worst used so far.
lol u r putting all the blame on modern age weapons. remember they dont detonate themselves.

and explosives were made from clearing mountains to let train passage through..
so no, i wouldnt feel comfy at all.. nor i think it will stop people from invading other countries.. (money, resources, humanbeings, basic things created wars)
TOO many nukes , icould never understand WHAT ppl meant when they say nukes.. atomic i can talk about .. atomic energy, first could've been used for like powering the power plants, or like big machinery like submarines..
then as u said, a lunatic with the hand on the button is much more dangerous than the one holding a hammer, with same, it was never the invention, it was the usage..
"nobel" prize system for example.. i dont think poor nobel realized that dynamite, now used simply for negative purposes would be like that today, he had a steel mill business and wanted to help workers out for laying down train tracks, and going through mountains was a problem.. digging was a lot slower..
atomic generators were created for the same energy-related purposes, except physics stated: uncontrolled reaction can do massive killing, came out the bomb. so yeah, BOMB itself is bad, but not the principle/source behind it (that could generate electricity or ruin lives)
hmm i can see your point but sometimes i wonder if making life easy comes at the price of bombs being developed, is it then worth the trouble? just my pacifist mood is on .
