Re: Imagine a life...
Well, if there were no cosmetics men would never know what anyone would look like with it on. So, we would be beautiful how we are...au naturale. :)
Re: Imagine a life…
balance it out by wearing fakiron walay kapray.
Re: Imagine a life...
no, women cant live without makeup, jewellery, fashion, spa, nail, etc..
Re: Imagine a life...
If one can imagine: Women are one of the reason for increasing the financial burden on a family.
Men do appreciate but not that much................ and with or without men, **women are obsessed **in spending on expensive items...on false pretext.
And if anyone really observes:
The reasons for spending is either competition **with other woman or **copying other woman...and that woman may be either a celebrity or just a model in fashion magazine.
Re: Imagine a life...
I'm thinking of giving up everything I listed above, it's all a waste of time.
Is it in connection of your last thread - where you hinted Psyah bhai sb about a wife turning ugly from being gorgeous :D

What do you think of this:
"If someone has to spend a lot of time and money on accessories, to look good/decent... then someone is not that great looking to begin with"
Basically a good looking woman will still be good looking with simple interventions.
No need to spend time, energy and money on items which **only promotes fashion businesses **and nothing beneficial for individuals.
Re: Imagine a life…
The problem is that even before her those efforts, if she had just taken a simple shower, brushed her teeth to smell good,… she would have looked attractive to a lot of men and be acceptable in her presentation.
How come men with simple clothings ( plus basic trimming of hair/nails etc.) are still attractive to other sex… and women have to work soooooo hard to get the same kind of approval?
It is all about economy and business. Nothing to do with looking good and be acceptable or presentable.
Re: Imagine a life...
For me it would be quite boring... but still imaginable.
Re: Imagine a life...
diwana has strong opinions about women's makeup as well... surprise surprise..
Re: Imagine a life...
without make-up, fashionable clothes, designer bags, jewellery, heels and nail-varnish.
Can you?
Yes. Because I am already living that life, lol.
Of course we are made to believe that we aren't supposed to live without this stuff. Or our lives would be incomplete without it, this stuff is promoted on the premises that it would lend you more confidence etc.
Re: Imagine a life…
easy- own one designer bag, not 10 ![]()
Re: Imagine a life...
Might get a bit boring.
Re: Imagine a life…
I don’t think it’s about getting attention from men only, you won’t get attention and respect from anyone if you’re not wearing expensive clothes, make-up etc etc. :hinna:
Re: Imagine a life...
Can you?
Definately I can! Infact baring nice clothes, i don't really use much of the other things you mentioned.
Re: Imagine a life...
one doesn't have to splurge when buying clothes, makeup etc. Not everything needs to be a designer label or a hefty price tag.
A person can manage to look in moderation too and still remain updated about the fashion trends. However completely letting go of these would make life really boring. It's not about impressing the other gender it's just about feeling good oneself.
If I feel good about myself after a nice haircut and it boosts my confidence the £20 would be a fair investment.
Re: Imagine a life...
LOL...Are you suffering from Paris Hilton syndrome or something? lol
Yeah I used to think like that when I was 15.....ahh the good old days. Anyway, money can't buy you style nor designer bag can buy you class. I actually find consciously trendy and show off people quite tacky and off putting...whats the term they use for them kind - fashion whores, attention whores or whatever. I mean where's the natural grace, the elegance, the sexy effortlessness?
For me naturally beautiful and interesting people stand out no matter the price tag or the label of their clothes is. Its the not so attractive ones that usually have to work hard.
