IMAGIMANATION!!!!

How many of you imagine the story while reading your book? Kinda like there’s a picture reel going on in your mind at the same time as you are reading.

Now how many of you assign faces of people you know to the characters in the book? For example, for a self-centered and meddling female antagonist, you assign the face of a troublesome aunt of yours. If there’s a character who is a supportive sidekick, you assign the face of your best friend. That sorta thing. And these faces play out the story in your mimd as you read away. Who does that?

Re: IMAGIMANATION!!!!

I do both the things. making some sketch of the place characters lived and characters as well.

I think everyone does that, without that you can't enter the story.

I do that and then I also Google how people may have painted or created that character if there isn't a movie or a casting for it. I also like reading the dreamcast for the book I'm reading and imbding the actors. I KNOW!!!

Re: IMAGIMANATION!!!!

^I remember when I was crazy about Twilight. At that time the author was thinking of casting Henry Cavill as Edward, and he was who I had in mind for that character as well, more so than Rob Pattinson. I liked her original idea for Bella too, I'm not a fan of Kristin Stewart. And then Stephanie Meyer came up with the ridiculous name of Renesmee and that as well as too much mushiness from Edward brought my interest to a halt. Never read all the books in the series and only watched the first movie.

There are so many great hooks I wish there were movies for.
