i’m not sure if this belongs in general or not, but i put it here b/c i’m referring to image posts in all the forums
i’m getting very tired of people’s rude commentary
just because you are online and no one can see you doesnt mean you should say whatever the heck you want
i don’t post pics on the forums for privacy reasons, but i do enjoy looking at the pictures that people share
i can’t tell you how many comments i’ve come across where people straight up tell other people that they are ugly, that their relatives are ugly, that they have no taste, etc etc etc
do you commenters have no manners?
different people have different tastes and just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t give you license to be rude
its one thing to comment on people who are in the public eye b/c their job revolves around looking good
its another to tell your average guppy that her sister looks like a hag on her wedding day
is the conversation of comments more in line with "oh you could have done this" or " this could have looked better" , which are more in line with positive criticism or they just rude with mean comments?
Sara, you’re usually good with your cristicism, and i think its SGC who I also never really find rude.. you guys are civilized, but today I read someone tell another member that their engagement pics werent classy and another person commenting that more than 50 pages of pictures were all trashy..soemthing along those lines… That’s not nice :nono:
Yeah but even “positive” criticism in that situation is just rude and mean IMO.
I mean if i already got the dress, wore it, got married in it, then who is anyone else to say “You could’ve done this better.” In that scenario, I’d be posting the picture to show people my happy day; not for my look to be dissected (which is why i posted mine in personal and not wedding :pagli: )…
But you gals are too much in some cases , as like one the threads in some life forum , yea i m talking about bridal pics yoke.
God knows from where and where you all are savin the pics and posting it here on a public forum .

Well, alot of girls who are getting marreid will be saving pictures so they can get ideas of what they like and perhaps get them designed and I don't see any harm in that. Even though criticizing a dulhan is kinda rude, it's nowhere near as messed up as guys taking pics and photoshopping them into pornography to ruin hte girls' reps. and don't deny you know that happens.
Your'e right 714.... ppl shud think about how their words might affect/hurt others b4 writing them down... perhaps they shud read it out loud to themselves and see how much they like it!

but the thing is...they don't know their pictures are being posted on gupshup, and if someone says something mean, well they dont deserve that do they? I rarely post my pic in img2 anymore b/c of alot of nasty comments i'd get when i first joined, so the best solution--i stopped posting.
I get hte argument..t.hat if their pics r on the internet, ppl will do anything w/ that and its part of the package... and if htey really dont want that to happen, make sure those pics are private. but i also don't think that it's such a big deal, commenting on a bride..like isaid to aliyish, it could be a LOT worse...

I think some ppl take those comments (of having the right intentions) too far. What was "mean" and "rude" to me may just be helpful criticism to others.
I don't think it's right to comment on celebrities that are wearing what or their spouse is ugly tec...but i also don't really care about celebrities....
