they’re always taught to respect women and they seem so chivalrous right?any man would look handsome in a uniform like that that demands respect. an ideal man would be like that but not sure how they are as husbands though…

I guess they make very good husbands, but not your regular ‘partner’ who’s do grocersies, help around with the house, sort out the bills, be home at evenings…their profession doesn’t allow them the freedom that ordinary civilians enjoy.

I believe being judgmental about people is wrong, not letting someone go past your pre-concieved notions is even worse…

what i was saying was that…we all have judgements/images/notions of people we meet n see…untill you get to know someone closely…those judgments/notions are based on a pre-concieved idea

image is different in several ways..your question about ‘image of man/woman’ is just too vague to be honest..

there are different ways of how the image is in the mind of a person..for example…for a woman the image can be of..

image of a woman as a mother
------------------------as a sister
------------------------as a wife
------------------------as an aunt or something
------------------------as a co-worker
------------------------as a boss/subordinate
------------------------and on and on and on

each image is different and perceived from a different point of view…so there is no single answer to your question.

a woman would be all those things eventually, more like sister, wife, mother, daughter…more emphasis on wife.

like what was your image of a woman before? oh forget it, just look at the responses from the “all the single guys” thread from the guys, that’s why i opened this thread. forget it forget it forget it

As with ideal women, I must say that the exquisitness and aesthetics you find in women in Pakistan (from whatever I've seen at least) can simply be a jaw droping experience. I mean you go to posh areas of Lahore, go to top women collges and the amount of beauty, style and class of you see is mindblowing, nothing compare to the Asian women you come across on the streets of England. The way they dress, the way they carry themselves, their feminine demure, ladylike feistiness etc..............

oh yep, they do have an heir of sophsication to them, you're right. their modesty and mannerism, everything you mentioned. there was a pakistani auntie that was like that that lived near where i grew up. very nice :)...they do seem like the ideal woman but i do wonder how they manage to keep themselves together especially with all the issues women come across in life.

she is shy, yet confident
she is playful, yet graceful
she is witty, yet innocent
she is kind, yet unforgiving
she is humorous, yet sober
she is hopelessly romantic, yet uninterested (depending on the relationship)
she talks less, yet says more
she is delicate, yet firm as rock
she is sweet, yet sour
she is simple, yet complicated
she is revealed, yet concealed
she is calm, yet restless

Well I may be off the mark, but most of the threads that one finds on this forum seem beyond the realm of reality. Of course a vast majority are in fact real but the people appear to be one dimensional selfish and rather immature. Solutions that are often provided are drastic and with limited knowledge of the issue or of the personal dynamics that affect the relationship. Some of the gentlemen find the forum convoluted because everything is seen through the prism of gender and not of morality of what is right or wrong. Additionally for some odd reason the advice provided here is rarely advice one gets in real life which would be far more balanced.
