Re: Image of what a real woman or man is like
For me, I’d say I formed the ‘ideal’ image of men and women from my brief childhood and teenage years in Pakistan. I guess it started from the fact we have quite a few women from our family who married into typically top notch military families, and I always thought an ideal man as an all important and respected army officer. Considering the fact that notion of Pakistani nationalism very much revolves around the glorification of its military might, and I very much developed a fascination with their ultra disciplined yet very comfortable lifestyle, intimidating personas, fearlessness, physical and mental strength, plus the sense of security and pride one gets from their appearance can be so overwhelming (I’m speaking from personal experience). So till date, my ideal man is someone who has a genuine aura of dominance and respectability.
