It is a spinoff of the story where Abu Hanifa was questioned for his usage of qiyaas in deriving religious rulings. Try if you can find the text and the date of the text this is quoted from the date of the text in which it’s quoted, and who compiled that text. It’s abundantly clear that the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt strongly criticized the usage of qiyaas and its growing prominence amongst jurists. It is unlikely that Abu Hanifa, founder of the practice, would get such a praise. With the stature of Imam Mohammad al Baqir there is no way Abu Hanifa could have answered him in this way given the later studied under the son of Imam al Baqir and acknowledging himself that he was not even near the same levelof guidance of his son and student, Imam as Sadiq.

Imam-e-Azam Numan b Thabit Al-Kufi ( R.A) studied directly under some Sahaba ( like Abu Tufayl) and Tabaeen ( like AL-Qama b Qays) one of them happened to be Jafar As-Sadiq
He was not ENTIRELY schooled by As-Saqid as u tend to Imply
