Yep, that’s the key thing to remember. The man is clearly not politically correct but looking at his wife’s before/after picture…he was clearly misled about her looks. There are many people out there who are superficial and place a strong emphasis on appearance. Obviously his wife was well aware of this b/c she had all that surgery back home…and I imagine she was also aware of just how much her looks played into her husband’s decision to marry her since she hid her drastic change in appearance from him.
In the desi community, I’m sure we’ve all heard of cases where during the rishta process, someone lied about their age, education/professional background, financial/citizenship status etc. Thanks to medical advances…this is just another chapter to that.
Why the heck was he so pissed off? His ugly daughter could have gotten plastic surgery too. A number of people across Asia and the world are extremely superficial. They might be ugly but want an incredibly beautiful spouse for some sort of validation or to negate their flaws . Kind of like an older dude marrying somebody his granddaughters age. That doesn’t make you like younger, actually makes you look a child predator IMO.
^^is that the picture the guy who sued and won? I agree he is not bad looking. Sometimes good looking people have ugly babies and ugly people have good looking kids. It happens. However, many ugly ducklings grow up to be beautiful! With modern technology - most people can look attractive. This dude must have had another motive for divorcing.
