yeah because of the transit strike! please view how long the lines were at the long island railroad to just get a ticket…yes this line is only for those who wanted to get a ticket. there was a separate one for those that got the ticket and wanted to get in the train. all this in 26 degree weather. where im taking the pic from is the 2nd last row of what was 4 huge rows of people…the orange sign with the arrow is where the entrance to the ticket booth.
also there was a guy from the salvation army there giving out free hot chocolate and coffee god bless him!
so i waited half hour just for the BUS to get to this station and there were some pretty interesting incidents along the way…a woman actually pushed a man trying to get out of the bus screaming “dont touch me!” and then everyone in the bus started screaming at the woman. and then the bus driver started screaming “i am going to kick all of f u out if u dont shut up” lolz…
The main reason that I would never live in NY city is the amount of people that live there. I would rather be in a small town where the 20 mile drive is about 20 minutes to work. Life runs at a slower pace and you have the time to enjoy a few evenings just relaxing in the sun.
true true... obviously living in NY has its downside....but i love being around all these different people...i used to Hate living in long island. it seemed like nobody ever walked there. once i decided to walk from home to stop&shop grocery and people kept stopping their cars and asking me if im ok....they thought it so weird to be WALKING to a store....im like YES i am just walking to the next street... the lady's like awww u sure u dont need a lift?
Oooh i was watchin the news this morning at 4 AM, and there was this guy who said “f**king trains” and as soon as he said that the lady cut him off.. the anchors were pretty mean abt it.. i jus thot it was hilarious .. sorry ive never herd someone curse on live tv beforE :halo:
