Yea. My family and I are heading off to New Jersey this weekend for the ICNA convention. Humza Yousaf will be one of the speakers, and I’m really excited :).
We’re supposed to be leaving the house tomorrow at 10 AM, but knowing my family, we won’t be out until like 12 PM . The drive is about 4 hours, which isn’t so bad, compared to other road trips we’ve been on. We’ve driven to New York, North Carolina, Ohio, even Canada. Canada was a 12-hours drive, 7 people in one minivan. Tauba tauba . But it was well worth it. :k:
I used to hate going on road trips and stuff with my family. But now, I actually enjoy going. I love eating out with my family and taking pictures and just traveling and stuff. I’m glad my parents give us experiences like these road trips and stuff to remember for the rest of our lives.
Anyways, this is just going to be a small trip, as we’ll only be staying for the weekend. I really enjoy going to ISNA, ICNA, and CAIR conventions. InshaAllah, I’ll come back having learned something new about my religion. There’s always more to know about Islam.
okay well hey I’m off, you guys. I might come back later tonight to post around a little, but I gotta go pack and do some other stuff. Allah Hafiz. I will miss you guys to pieces!
convention? ICNA convention always takes place in july. and tomorrow there's 4 speakers coming to Elizabeth, is that where you're going?? cuz i don't think that's a convention
Oh i wish i could go there..i've never been to thse kinda conventions...hopefully there will b one in Dallas sooN! Enjoy ur time phatima..i luv taking road trips..long drives! But it will b kinda cold there haan? **

You’re right, it wasn’t a convention. Yes I am in Elizabeth right now at the hotel. There were I think 7 speakers…including Hamza Yousaf, Zaid S (can’t spell his last name ), Siraj Wahaj, Adul Adrees (sp?), and a couple more. All the speeches were really good. It was in a huge theater (Ritz Theater) with a capacity of 3000 people. It was nearly full, MashaAllah
I’ll post some pics and videos (although you can’t see much bcuz it was dark) later.
P.S. Elizabeth is a scary place. I don’t like it here.
