ok im not, but my mate is and i need to get her an engagement gift.
thing is, she didnt invite me to the engagement party, and i sort of forgot to call her as iv been too busy, i know i know…im awful.
Im going to see her sometime this week and i want to get her something…not flowers or jewelry…something small but significant…but not too significant, if that makes sense. Iv already started saving for her wedding gift and as im a student cannot possibly afford something too significant for her engagment gift…
...a beautiful vase? Like beleek or top-name crystal. The smaller ones are quite reasonable and lovely to have on hand...the ones for a single rose are beautiful.
Those wedding books are lovely, but if she's already got one you need something different....maybe a scrapbook? You could have fun with that, get her all the extra things to go with it, glitter pens and glues, ribbons, stickers etc. She could use it for wedding and/or honeymoon photos and memories and its something different from the wedding book.
i would so love to get her a scrap book thing with glitter pens and all as thats so something i would like myself...but thats not really her kind of thing...shes very...erm...how do i say this?! shes very customary...shes not into arty make at home type of stuff.
Miss_M, best way to buys gifts is to ask yourself what would you want if you were in her shoes. So tell us, if it were your engagement, what would be a nice gift? :p
