par u see…the thing is that…i wear a hijaab…(n i’m proud of it Alhumdullilah) …so i try to wear like full sleeved kapre…if not that those three-quarter sleeves…they r usually out of fashion…
and the way i wear my hijaab…it covers like…half of my shirt…so wat the aunties n everyone tells me is…i dont look attractive…mujhe log us tarah dekhte nahi hein since i’m all covered…
par the thing is…i dont WANT ppl to be attracted towards me/mybody…and i dun want unnecessary attention towards my body…
par all the aunties think k if i dunt get ppl to be attracted towards me…meri shadi nahi hogi rolleyes
i mean i dun CARE!!! …seriously…i dun want some1 to marry me cause i’m pretty…

i think ur ammi is right in some things

like do care of urself in this sense that ur body is an amaanat from Allah and u must take care of ur health and ur body

and ur dress shud always appear good because as a Muslim you should be pleasing to other’s eyes

this does not mean putting lipstick, liner, mascara, nailpolish and all that

but this means wearing a neat and clean dress, taking care of ur personal hygiene and neatness, taking care of ur body and skin

ye soch kar k i shud not take care of my looks at all and thats artificial, banday ko lazy ban k bhee nai beth jana chahiyay

so try to enhance ur natural looks, but dont thopofy urself with artificial things like lipstick and mascara and nailpolish aur ye woh

this means the more effort u put in something the more u will get back

if u put more effort in ur looks u will also be generally more confident abt them

17 is too young to get eyebrows done…i dont think i got mine done till i was around 19…even tho a lot of my classmate used to…and believe me i got very thick eyebrows…a lot of my cousins dint get them done till they were getting married…and some of my friends/cousins have told me their hubbies dont even like all this…

jahan tak hair kee baat hay, bas keep it well combed and clean, untidy na lagay bas, dont have to do any fancy hairstyles, waise bhee mashallah u wear scarf

and u put kajal, so no need for liner…surmah lagana sunnat hae and it looks lovely mashallah u cud try that too

bas stay sweet and nice, thats most important, and keep everything in balance, looks par tawajjoh do, parhai par bhee doh, lekin zaada na socho in cheezon k baray mein, right now ur main aim shud be to think abt ur studies :slight_smile:

like subah uth ker i’ll brush em…ghar mein hongi to usually in do chutiyan or one chutiyan…which my mom hates par…i feel comfortable in chutiyaans :smack: or a pony tail…

So what if I already think that I am naturally beautiful, with or wihtout makeup? I love wearing makeup, colored eyeshadow and clear lipgloss, or just pink lips and surma. Plus i got my eyebrows done when I was 14. I don't feel tidy or clean if they're not done. In fact, when theyr'e done is when i can feel that I can go w/o makeup for the day. Everyone says that if you think ur beautiful then so will other ppl...well i think thas BS...coz I think i look fine either way, with or wihtout makeup.....but not every1 thinks so...everyyone tells me id be attractive if i lost weight, but i think i'm attractive already...so y cant others see that? :(...but yah, rani, forget the aunties. Most of them are stupid and they don't have anything better to do than to cut other ppl down by pointing out their flaws , coz "we care about you!"..blah blah

As long as u have the confidence, dont let any aunties, cousins or anyone break it. stay the way u r n if u wanna go all out with makeup n dressin up, do it FOR URSELF, not for the sake of pleasing others.
