Had a conversation with a civil servant in Pakistan who hails from Rajan Poor which is hit by floods now. He says in his area, there is damage to crops but very little loss of life, because, the houses are generally away from the rivers, dams and canals. But in KP there is lot of illegal construction along the river beds and KP goverment doesnt do anything about it.
