the fact that we have to rely on this majha gamma tweet and that majha gammap tweet (and every PTI supporter doing that right now on twitter and FB) to prove endurance of IK’s today’s jalsa itself indicates that it was not exactly a block buster…meaning it was not exactly 500K + jalsa…not even a 200k+
now all of that is obviously relative..jalsa in itself was a big show…absolutely no doubt… but we are talking on a relative basis…relative to IK’s last jalsla, relative to TUQ jalsa and what not…since all these jalsas happened at the exact same place, our brains and eyes are automatically tuned to the size in a relative manner and my first reaction after looking at today’s jalsa was “it looks smaller than IK’s last one and definitely smaller than TUQ”…
i called my brother and some other folks who were at jalsa gah…looked at unbiased tweets from political commentators and kept on looking live stream for over 3 hours…in the end, my initial perception was supported by all these socurces…this jalsa was not as big of a success as PTI would have liked to…at least from attendance perspective…passion/fun everything was there but people were expecting something out of mind 500K+ attendance based on the hype that PTI created and that didnt happen
but what does really mean?
if you follow politics, you know pakistan federal elections will depend upon central punjab..amir mateen did a good analysis recently…A victory between Attock and Khanewal, means governments not just in Punjab but also at the Centre. Here we talk about roughly 107 National Assembly electoral seats that alone should be enough to form a federal government. As the PPP virtually gives up the plains of the central Punjab, the only person who can stop Nawaz Sharif from becoming the Prime Minister is Imran Khan. As simple as that.
And if you have any sources in punjab’s politics…if you have any base in punjab’s rural areas … if you have any connection to punjabi villages electoral politics you should know that "Nawaz Sharif has already cast his die by gathering the biggest Punjabi ‘electable.’ It’s obvious that he wants to pursue power politics in absolute disregard to every principle of morality…but that is a different topic…
Imran is way behind and he needs huge huge momentum in next 3 weeks to turn it around…and not in cities only but in villages…not an easy task especially in villages where it is all about bradari system,.
As of now his best chance would be 15-20 NA seats…i hope i am proved wrong!
sometimes i think your nick ought to be pessimisticdesi
C'mon man rise from the ashes of Phoenix :)
i am dying to risse from those ashes....and my vote is 100% for IK!
but kya karoon....i cannot ignore villages ..... especially in punjab.......i was born and raised in lahore but whole family hails from central punjab rural areas and been in local politics for over 40 years ... and NO i am not supporting PMLN.....i am a PTI supporter but when i speak to my people in rural areas, i just dont get the sense that tsunami is anywhere there...
IK needs electibles in those villages.....
i said that many times.....and i say it again...our maasses are corrupt to core..and they like and want proven corrupt people of same bradari.....
they dont believe in any inqilab or anything like that especially in villages
Mr Pakistan @MrPakistan786](https://twitter.com/MrPakistan786) 13 Mar Breaking News: white smoke seen over Aiwan-e-Sadr Pakistan. Imran Khan will be the new leader soon i.a.
and as we speak..i just heard that finally, Syed Fakhr-e-Imam quits the PPP to join the PML-N! deep sigh
there you go...that is what i mean.... Nawaz Sharif has already cast his die by gathering the biggest Punjabi ‘electable.
these are huge electable candidates in punjab ... not easy to turn them over!
now i completely understand that "Nawaz Sharif wants to pursue power politics in absolute disregard to every principle of morality....but that is a different topic........
morality is not my topic right now....i am discussing electability right now....and correlation between morality and electability is negative in Pakistan
....is there any doubt that IK is 10 times better than nawaz and zardari?
IK is a courageous brave honest man
everyone knows that including these masses in villages
but they will vote for most corrupt yet most "eligible" electable candidate who can help them in courts and police stations....maybe they have no choice as we have no system in place...so they rely on those people who can help them getting favorable justice...
classical egg or chicken problem
and no i dont want army either...i just want political system keep running and wait for filtration, more filtration and some more filtration
IK should concentrate on KP. he should win easily there.
very wise argument.....i dont think he will win enough seats to make govt...not even close....and he has no alliance..central punjab sseems like a lost cause for IK
so why not play to your strength....focus where u can win so that u can have sizable group in the opposition..IK will win 5-15 seats in punjab but if he can win some good 20 seats in KP....that wud be awesome...with 20-40 seats, he will be a potent force to be reckoned with
so far IK has neglected KP big time as he has focused on punjab and he is sliding down in KP now....
"Nawaz Sharif has already cast his die by gathering the biggest Punjabi ‘electable.’ It’s obvious that he wants to pursue power politics in absolute disregard to every principle of morality....
This is what IK has been castigated for in the most brutal fashion throughout the media. This is something that is religiously forbidden for the PTI but duly allowed to Noon League. Retribution
or relief — I have no doubt in my mind that people will get what they deserve. The ball is now in their court.
Wow, so you have not been to any these Jalsas and claiming that it was not as big as TUQ's Jalsa or 30th oct jalsa. Good on you, keep talking to your self.
