After enjoying months of salaries and perks without stepping in the assemblies, they finally decided to go back and (hopefully) contribute something positive in making the development plans and resolving comman man issues.
Imran Khan announces to return to parliament Last Updated On 05 April,2015 About 5 hours ago
He said he has faith that 2015 is election year
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday announced that PTI lawmakers will now return to assemblies, saying the decision has been made after formation of judicial commission.
Talking to the media after PTI’s core committee session, Khan said that we had resigned but “our resignations were not accepted”. He said they are still members of the assembly and that PTI will participate in the joint session tomorrow (Monday).
He said he will present his party’s stance over the Yemen situation in the National Assembly, adding that PTI will now play the role of ‘fulfilling opposition’.
PTI chairman said that his party took to streets because their mandate was allegedly stolen in 2013 general election. He said he will prove that up to 70 lakh votes cast in 2013 election were bogus.
“It is my faith that election will take place in 2015”, he said, adding that the decision about judicial commission has been taken and that’s why his party has decided to return to assemblies.
Answering a question, PTI chief said that it is their democratic right to partake in NA 246 by-election. He said whatever happened in Karachi was not expected from MQM. He alleged that MQM workers premeditated vandalism on PTI’s Karimabad camp.
PTI chairman said he strongly condemns MQM’s ‘aggression’, adding that MQM lost the opportunity of becoming a democratic party.
Addressing MQM chief, Khan said that he is going to Karachi himself and will visit every corner of the city. “Altaf Hussain can do whatever he wants to stop me”, he said.
Imran Khan said people are fed up of politics of fear.
This was the final about turn which needed to be taken…so Pti is back to square one…during the past seven months he has provided enough ammunition to his opponents to play during the next election campaign…Nawaz sharif has been caught singing mauka mauka after this decision…

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan announced on Sunday that his party’s legislators would not re**turn to parliament this term, even if a proposed judicial commission declared the 2013 general elections to be rigging-free.
“If the proposed judicial commission says no rigging took place — which I don’t believe — even then we won’t go back to the National Assembly and will prepare for the next elections,” Mr Khan said, indicating that he would not be prepared to accept the commission’s verdict if it came out in the government’s favour.
"Oay Nawaz Shareef !’ , “OayBuzdil !” , “Oay Besharam !”
This voice comes to my mind
I remember 3 , died in Islamabad , I remember one died in Faisalabad , I hear voices of 7 dying in Multan
I also remember 14 killed for success of Script in Model Town Lahore .
I remember more than 100 days disturbed the whole Pakistan
I have never expected such a ghatia U-Turn , This judicial commission was announced by N$ prior to this so-called Dharna
IK says , “Kal main khud jaon ga”
Yes I know , N$ is in trouble about Yemen
So following the orders of establishment , he will be there to support N$
This time , It is full story from Day-1 to this
My personal opinion is that Nawaz sharif has come out much stronger after these episodes, if NS plays the cards right he will form the next government too. He doesn’t even need to deliver on his promises of economy and energy. PPP is a spent force and Pti also has the credibility issue that the party has been alleging others of having. The only thing now that could save the party for annihilation in the coming polls is their performance in kpk.
Javed Hashmi is the whiste-blower of PTI. And right now he is the only PTI person who actually resigned from assemblies instead of those who kept on staging drama while enjoying all the Govt perks without doing the work they were supposed to. So who’s the man??!!
PTI is a failed political party. Imran Khan is not a leader and never will be. He should stick to charity work. If charity work was a benchmark to be a successful politician then Abdul Sattar Edhi would have been PM of Pakistan by now.
it does not work that way. Politics is a whole different ball game which Imran Khan was never meant for and never will be successful at. He should continue to expand SKH and continue his legacy that way.
I agree. This whole fiasco has not benefited PTI in any shape or form. If anything, PML - N has come out much stronger after this and I can guarantee they will sweep the polls in Punjab in the next election.
Wrist slitters and people will gold fish memories can vote for PMLN again because PTI failed to bring a ‘revolution’. But the contest isn’t over yet.
PTI has still done a remarkable job. They can tell Pakistanis that the issue of electoral rigging held a significant importance for them and country’s future, they had two options: to do nothing and fail or do something and succeed. They got their much empowered JC formed after 7 months of mobilised protest and full three years of political resistance from PMLN. Yes 7 months of active protest you stupid wrist slitters. So I don’t see how one could say PTI is not the beneficiary with any potent gains. The final outcomes of this struggle must be appreciated. If not, then don’t cry how Pakistan is a dead nation where no one likes to campaign for causes.
Besides, PMLN was never willing to form JC. They should be ones scatching their heads. Don’t tell me they randomly decided to agree to form JC especially at a time when PTI looked exhausted, undecided, unprepared and totally non-threatening.
I wonder how PTI will go & sit with the same parliamentarians who IK not long ago was calling thieves and the Parliament fake? What about PTI member who refused go with his majesty’s orders and were excommunicated by IK?
