I’m inshallah planning on inviting a friend to iftari who has two children-one is 11 and one is 4. I’m just wondering if anyone who holds mixed iftaris can suggest some starters (I’ll look up the recipes myself, so don’t panic over typing them for me!).
I was thinking of aloo tikkis, keema rolls (minus the chilli, or maybe just with a little chilli) and potato wedges. Do you think the children will want larger portions of the starters as they won’t want to eat mains dishes?
I’m also trying to suss out if dhai baray would be better than a chaat (is fruit chaat a starter or dessert?!)? Hhhmm decisions.
I’ve asked my friend about her kids preferences but she says she doesn’t want me to go to extra effort for them.
