i think its too many dishes. out of Cholay, Dahi baray, Spring rolls, Fruit chat, pakoras, i'd prob just do 3 items as there is dinner afterwards.
I'd go for pulao rather than biryani too and you can go for mixed vege pulao as there is balti chicken already and cut out the mixed vegetables. No one can eat so much after opening roza but thats just my opinion.
In our area all desi are rewayati desi, so they like complete iftari like in Pakistan, than full fledge dinner so thats why there are so many stuff in menu.
Instead of having both spring rolls and pakoras, just have one. Spring rolls fry in minutes, pakoras take long time to fry. I would suggest you to skip pakoras.
In dinner, choose b/w balti chicken and koftay. If you want to keep both, skip the aloo kababs... I don't think you really need aloo kabab as you have to fry stuff for iftari too. I think 1 rice, 1 meat salan (whatever you want, koftay or chicken), 1 vegetable salan, with salad and raita is enough.
I think instead of firni, go for ice cream, water melon, and cantaloupe. But if you want firni then yeah 1 dessert is enough.
Right now I cooked biryani masala, koftay, karahi and black cholay aslo made raitaa, imli and cilantro chutney, I skip aalo kabab, tomorrow I have to make vege salan and dessert, I want to make rus malai or gulab jamun. Which one is easy to make ??
Hmmm... b/w gulabjaman and rus malai, I think gulab jaman are easy, i have never made them from scratch, always used the gulabjaman mix...besides gulabjaman are yumier too...lol
Lusi aapreicate your suggestions, I skip aalo kabab, made karahi, koftay and vege salan and biryani (I like pulao but hubby don't like it thats why I made biryani). For iftar dahi baray, cholay, black cholay, pakoray, spring rolls and fruit chat also sherbat and khajoor.
My hubby told me not to do any experiment of new recipe on guests so simple dessert is fruit triffles so I made triffle.
Right now iftar dinner party was over, we all had fun, yummy dishes, I took pics first time for GS, send very soon IA.
