Yes, I would. I can afford it but even then I find it to be such a waste of money. Don't get me wrong, I always go for the best and it is usually something that is not readily available in stores. Never been a MAC user and never will be. There is all kind of makeup you can get at 1/3rd of MAC's prices if you are willing to wait and look! Look into theatrical makeup brands. I have always been a big fan of BeN Nye, Graftobian, Mehron, and Kryolan. Besides Kryolan, all brands are priced at least half of MAC's equivalent.
Note I did not mention Makeup Forever. They are ridiculously expensive.

Depends.. If money was tight or he was paying for me yes, I would.. If money wasn't an issue and I was paying then probably not.. Likewise I wouldn't tell him tell him to buy a cheaper brand watch or phone, that's his business (as long as we aren't having financial problems or anything like that)..

My husband does not normally notice what I spend on for myself. If he did start noticing my makeup expenses, I'd know I've gone waaay overboard with them! And I'd probably cut down on them too.

Depends. If he is the only one working and the money I'm spending is coming from his salary, then I could definitely cut back on "luxury" items if he wanted me too. However, if we are both working, we're financially comfortable, and my beauty spending is not having a major effect on our ability to save money....then no, in that case I couldn't give up the brands I prefer. In order for me to give up spending on beauty products, husband would need to actually show me how my spending is negatively effecting our finances.
Honestly I would splurge occasionally. There are some products that work really well on me and lipsticks and mascaras as well as eyeliners I wouldn't mind buying drugstore. A good primer, foundation and even a blush will last forever.

I dont spend much on highend products....but there are some makeup/skincare products that I always prefer to be of highend only*....still if he asks me I will not buy them.....

In that case I would just purchase what I needed and nothing extra. A regular cover up and basics like eyeliner are essential once or twice a year. Spending to much IMO would be on all the extra blushes and lipsticks and expensive concealers, and the brushes and different palettes. To that point then yes I would stop. Although my husband doesn't mind me spending on myself when it comes to dressing up and looking nice but we had the money talk when I was eating out way to much. That was early on in the marriage before I started cooking at home and realized how much money can be used on beauty products instead of all that bar ka Khana which is junk anyway. :D It was hard but I finally stopped eating out... I guess that's relatable to this scenario lol.

Honestly, I never really thought about makeup, fashion, anything related to beauty products before GS. The fashion and beauty section did wake me up to the difference between certain products and quality does matter. I never knew a Ulta or a sephora existed before. I’m in love with them now and the beauty section of any store. I’m just so used to buying good quality products when it comes to beauty and fashion I don’t know whether i could go back to zilch and nothing, if I did have someone important in my life saying I should not buy them anymore. Fashion and beauty section says “don’t quit your job”!!
Not that I wouldn’t give up my fav products if it’s absolutely necessary that there’s no way around it. It would just be hell on earth that’s all.
