In every case I’ve ever come across of it involving desi men there is at least 1 kid (usually more) still living at home and needing his support when dad decides to get wife no.2.. Also, in these typical traditional families (not like the modern ones are into it, is it) the wives usually don’t work either. Wife not earning, kids growing up without dad at least 50% of the time, wouldn’t that impact the whole family??

1.single mom…doesn’t work…no job…has kids…divorced…

vs

2.first wife…doesn’t work…no job…has kids…not divorced gets Financial assistance 50% of the time

which is worse??
