If you’d gone in a coma for 2 weeks, and just woke up, you’d be excused to ask “what did I miss?”. Pretty much nothing is about the right answer.
We had the election on Feb 18th. We know PPP won the most seats. We saw gonglu meet with Mr 10%. All smiles and handshakes. Then what? For the last 2 weeks things are at a stand still. Rumors galore! Amin Faheem will be the PM. No, Ahmad Mukhtar will be the PM. No, Zardari will become the PM. Amin Faheem will become the President. Mushy is staying. Mushy is leaving. Parliament session will be called. 2 weeks. No, 3 days. Yada yada yada.
Im getting worried that all that show of solidarity was just a drama and the PPP and PML (N) may not be able to form a government together...very bad news for Pakistan :-(

Yes, solidarity amongst PPP and PML (N) is a drama. There is deep rooted mistrust that goes back to the early nineties. The way PPP was treated when it was in power by PML (N), and the fact that Zardari was sent to prison by Nawaz Sharif.
PPP can't even decide on a PM, and PML (N) wants to sit outside the govt but wants to take credit for everything positive but blame PPP for all the negatives. Zardari is aware of this, and he is also aware that in PML (N) would not offer any substantial positions to PPP people in Punjab Assembly.
The other moot point is the reinstatement of the old PCO judges and impeachment (or removal) of President Musharaf. None of which PPP is happy about

Interesting times ahead. :)
I'd rather phrase it as: worrying times ahead. If these two parties cannot come together than what will happen? Or if Amin Fahim breaks away from the PPP and takes more people with him, then what?
Gham main aap itnay patlay na hon. aisa kuch nahin honay walla. Old habits die hard. New nicks are only a camouflage, but does not change the inner wisdom.:D
