Islam is the only thing that keeps me in reign and check, as would any other of the main religions.
If i was athiest or agnostic then why should i resist certain temptations.

By looking at all my friends who have no religion or are not religious none of them have saved themselves so I guess thats all I can go by?
Islam is part of my identity so I cant imagine what I would be like without it, if that makes sense?

Being Muslim is not a guarantee that one will be saved from temptations.
Good morals is what saves someone from those temptations.

good morals are the teachings of Islam...you can't separate them...if you are a good Muslim [of true Islam] then good morals will come naturally...of course!

i know plenty of muslims who werent able to resist certain temptations. By the same token i know many atheists who were able to resist those same temptations. Its down to the individual more than anything.

Being Muslim is not a guarantee that one will be saved from temptations. Good morals is what saves someone from those temptations.
Alot of my 'morals' come from being a muslim, some come from society like not stealing, murdering etc but things like no sex before marriage and not drinking come from islam or if i was a chrisitan or jew and religious to the same extent I would also have some morals from those religions too.

No sex before marriage and no drinking are morals taught by other religions too.

As in I have those morals due to being muslim and if was the part of other religions that taught that I would be the same.
