i rather not say anything.. I rather make sure she is strong enough emotionally and financially to remain stable and independent. Its upto her if she wants to remarry ... since i will be long 6-feet under the ground i think it will not effect me in any way..

i will have other things to worry about .. and I hope i will get to be with her in qiyaamaat..

Re: if you were to ...

I would say get married but really that means no and if he does i would haunt him as a jin.

Just kidding.

Re: if you were to ...

Re: if you were to ...

what! old people dont need companionship?

We often find it hard to imagine our parents/grandparents as being intimate creatures....but the fact is some are!! so let's face it... as gross as it may sound to some of you...many of our parents still have some passion and fire left in them :D

when you get old and gray Spock...i am sure it will be hard for your kids to imagine you being intimate with your wife....but inshAllah you will be....unless of course something is wrong with you :p

also...companionship among the elderly doesnt necessarily have to sexual either...it can just mean two people wanting to be together in their old age...what's wrong with that?

so true...good answer.

Re: if you were to …

Bhaijaan, I never mentioned ‘intimacy’, I was talking about love, pure love. If it was intimacy and all, thats where Shahjahaans concubines come in!

Uff, what I meant is, when youre old and grey, like 80 and lose ur partner, I dont think you’ll want to love someone like you did before, i.e. life long commitment, its like going to bat with your lets broken. Again, I never mentioned intimacy, I was referring to love, pure love jinaab-e-ala.

:smack: Where did I say it was sexual! lol aap hi baar baar ‘my pure clean version of love’ ko ‘sexual intimacy’ sey mix kar rahey hain hijaab.

Re: if you were to ...

Though I'd totally hate to say it, but considering that my hubby is also a human, if I were to die tomorrow, then yes, I would tell him to marry someone after I'm bye bye.

Regarding his reaction, he told me once that he would never, but I think that eventually he would have to, for his own sanity. It would be ever so lonely to age in solitude, without a companion or without love.
