Ok fine…prolly no one has criticized inzi’s captaincy more than me at KK but lets be logical. What were the options we had yesterday after lunch…please share your views that if you were leading paki team yesterday, what would be your strategy after lunch?
we are all cursing inzi ( including myself), but here is the real scenario. We have only one world-class bowler shoaib and HE CANNOT BOLW MORE THAN 4 OVERS IN A ROW. Don’t ask why but this is the reality plus it is not easy to bowl 150 km/h more than 4 overs anyway. Sami is not a world-class performer but he is acceptable and he had already bowled 2 hours continuously in 30 degree. Yes sir, two hours continuously without any break…so definitely he deserved at least on hour rest after lunch…Inzi did let shoaib bowl four overs after lunch and he got rid of Clarke but then langer and gilly started hitting him all over the ground in his third and fourth over. So inzi had to remove him. HERE COMS A MILLION DOLAR QUESTION. What else inzi could have done. We have no replacement. We have no world class bowler other than shoiab and may be sami…so how can we say that inzi screwed the game and did not exert enough pressure on aussies…. Please share your views.
imo sami and shoib should have never been allowed to open together. had shoib opened with khalil, inzi wouldnt have had sami bowl 15 overs on a stretch - poor guy got cramped up pretty badly from what i hear. this would have also allowed inzi to bring him (sami) back much earlier after lunch.

but then every one would have slammed inzi for being a jackass who did not use sami and shoaib together when ball was new and wicket had some dampness and wasted the oppurtunity by using new bowler khalil instead....plus chances were that hayden would have settled too against khalil and scored a big score......so there you go again.....
I only followed till lunch, and we had all the advantage we could, Aussies were reeling at 5/78. It was because we have 2 fasties in Sami and Shoaib. Shoaib can't bowl more than 4/5 overs in a row, Sami bowled something like 12/13 overs without break.
Sami proved erratic in later overs, I believe as he was getting tired but still trying to put all his efforts into it.
As much as I'd like to blame Inzi for not utilising bowlers properly, I'd like to say that we really need AT LEAST one more fastie in the TEST team. They tried M Khalil as one, but what I heard was that he was not as much threatening and he was more like medium pacer around 80+mph. Though he proved to be economical but wicketless, I guess more experience will make him a better bowler.
Shabbir should've been here, but fitness fitness is the issue.

no you did not..you are right at the spot......this is the whole point....we do not have any suitable replacement bowlers....we have shoaib and sami (only to some extent) as front line bowlers and that is about it....so why blame inzi then.....we are playing with one and half bowlers...razaq, khalil are all part timers.....and kaneria...i am not sure abt him
well its a captain's job to utilize his bowlers in a way that maintains pressure on the other side. bringing in razaq and kaneria at a time when we had them struggling was a stupid descision. and what the heck was he thinking fielding kaneria at deep fine leg who missed two decent catching chances (langer and gillie both i think).

a very good point indeed....gilly was pulling every damn thing and kaneira could not even move ontime but inzi did not change him..
Lunatic hit the nail right on the head. It is Captains responsibility to utilize his bowlers wisely. It's a proven fact that Inzi is MORON when it comes to Captaincy. He can't think. He needs Moin Khan to tell him what to do. I am just wondering what our LAPTOP coach was doing.
