i hav never really tried F&F n i always keep myself away from similar brands but if this particular brand uses ayverdic elements i might giv it a go.
but Nadz y r u skeptical in sharing its ingredients. didn't u open this thread raving abt this product. So y hiding n not sharing the ingredients?
In Canada u can get hydroquinone 4% without prescription. n no most derms don't help u the way u want it. i had eczema for so long n went to most recommendable derms but not a single one helped. then my acne n scars. n finally my skin tags after my pregnancies. most of these derms r not very updated n still believe in old researches. they make u scare of products or advertise the wrong ones.
one of my friend's daughter had severe eczema too. shes over with it now with help of homeopathy but her whole body has got black patches now n shes totally discoloured but has any derm actually helped her recommend a good lightning product? not yet.
So no more derms for me atleast. do ur own research n find ur own cure unless ofcourse u hav no other hopes left.

Try filipino asian stores in your area. Its also avalible on amazon i think.
yups that the one i use.. bought it from ebay, two for 15 pounds… will look for it in some local filipino stores..
It does make skin soft and clean.. many of my acne marks are gone… and it does not break me out..PLUS its all herbal no chemicals.

Marwah, it sounds like skin discoloration or hyperpigmentation. It's common in desi people. I've had it on my cheek and Alhumdolillah it's gone now. The most effective way to get rid of it is to get a hydrqouinone cream from the dermatologist. Hydroquinone or HQ is an FDA approved chemical used for lightening skin. In commerical products, you will usually find a concentration of 2%. For a higher concentration, you'll have to get a prescription. In a few weeks, it'll fade away. Make sure that you apply sunscreen when using HQ products at least 30 minutes before going out.
You can try commerical products and natural ingredients which contain a bleaching effect (example: lemons, tomatoes, yogurt, etc)........but it will take longer. Your dermatologist can will prescribe treatments that penetrate the layers of your skin to correct the problem. People usually don't realize that their blemishes/spots/discolorations are made up of SEVERAL layers of skin.
Apply sunblock on your hands. Do you think maybe you're allergic to some soap, detergent, or cream you've been using?
i don't think it's an allergic reaction, it's been like this for as long as i can remember. some of my cousins have it too, so i guess it is common amongst desis. it's not such a terrible thing but if there is a way to get rid of it, i definitely want to do that. i've heard about rubbing lemons and tomatoes where ever you want to make your skin lighte..but really, who has the time to do that? lol i'll do it for 2 days and then i'll forget. fixing things the natural way never works out for me. i think i'll try the hydroquinone cream you're talking about. maybe i'll start with a commercial product and then move on to one with a higher concentration. do you know of any good brands?

IT DOES SAY that if you stop using fair and love, your colour may go back to its original state as it was before you began applying. so its written on the website and box. its jsut a matter of using it dauly.forever. just like you would use any moisuturiser for ever.

Darker skin naturally has more melanin than fair skin, which protects the skin from the sun's rays. Fairness creams inhibit the production of melanin....making your skin more vulnerable to the sun...thus increasing your sensitivity to the sun which can cause rapid aging and even skin cancer.
You're supposed to use sunscreen whenever you go out during the day.....BUT....especially with skin lightening products.
