Almost 5-6 years ago, I was passing through a rough patch. Every single night I used to see snakes in my dream .. some times black huge cobras, rattle snakes etc. I have this phobia of snakes & i don’t look at them on TV, zoo, any where where I can see them. God forbid, if I ever had to encounter one in real, I’d probably faint on just seeing it.
Anyway, these dreams persisted for a long time. People told me there could be various reasons like
I may have many enemies
There are many people jealous of me
It maybe you saw some movie, news, drama or violence that day
It may be black magic
Some one told me to start praying every night before I slept. I started 5-6 tasbeehs every night including* “ya Hayyu ya Qayyum”, “Allah u akbar”, Pehla Kalma, & some other 2* as well. I gave sadka regularly.. really small amounts & once in a few months large amounts too. I give charity as well.
For 5 years I did not have those dreams but yesterday right after Isha prayer I slept & again had snakes in my dream. I gave sadka just yesterday & now I’m unsure what to do. I get very scared when such a dream comes … What else can I do?
I heard seeing snake in dreams interpreted as enemy. If you see continuesly that means you have many enemies (that could be anybody either from your family members, friends, or others directly or indirectly related to you). You may give charity (sadqah) of yourself as giving sadqah take-away harmness. Also, after seeing such dreams when you woke-up, spit thrice time on your right side and if possible to Wudu and then sleep at right side.

LKC is correct. In book “Interpretation of Dreams”, of Sahih Bukhari, our Prophet said 'spit three times (on his left).

Narrated Abu Qatada: The Prophet said, “A good dream is from Allah, and a bad or evil dream is from Satan; so if anyone of you has a bad dream of which he gets afraid, he should spit on his left side and should seek Refuge with Allah from its evil, for then it will not harm him.”
@psyah bhai - They used to be nightmarish. I always woke up from sleep with those. A big black snake twirling here and there trying to bite sorts. Thankfully, they don't come in my dreams anymore.

I don't watch movies with snakes in it, neither do i watch them on animal planet or National geographic, or see the snake house when if in a zoo. I have a fear that a snake may come out of no where, where I am sitting. So just a fear of snakes that may be one other reason they come in my dreams.
