Love is not an all you want is all you should get game! you dont always Have the person you love. Thats truely a depressing feeling to lose someone you find so dear and want to spend your life with .....but sadly fate is blind!
Hmcq i feel i can be happy for the other person, but i would be extremely sad for myself on the other hand , it needs time to heal.your friend needs your support and some time space to deal with his situation.
sometimes, you want the ones you love to be the happiest ones, you want their all wishes and dreams come true.. their happiness is your happiness.. I think if you are jealous of their happiness then you love your self not them.. maybe not true in all cases.. but this is only love I am aware of. :)

none of u's should have boy friends or girl friends it is prohibitted in islam. didn't ur parents teach u this in your childhood or were u guys taught to u know what...........
^ Its not about having a girl or a boy friend. Its about loving someone, caring for someone and yet not getting that someone as a life long partner. Its about not being able to put your message across... I don't think that our religion is against all this.
And by the way what our parents teach should be our business, right...
