If you know the animal...

Which is cooked.. would you still eat it?

Or each time you want to make some thing… a chicken of some thing is killed in front of you…
And also they are not farm animals.. would you consider stop eating it then?

Re: If you know the animal...

Yes -I don't mind that ... The more I know the animal - the more it tastes delicious :D

Re: If you know the animal...

The chicken we ate a few days ago was named Shabnam. Pyaar se log usko Shabbo kehte the. Her ending was graceful though: chicken biryani!

I think it becomes difficult if you have a special attachment with that certain animal. I have never had an animal dost till far, so never had to face such problems.

Don't give a rat's arse, unless it was an innocent loyal dog at a Chinese buffet.

Re: If you know the animal…

This reminds me of a school experiment… we were going to dissect a sheep’s kidney in the bio lab and we had to go buy it ourselves from the butchers. As the butcher was packing a kidney for us, he said to my friend, “This one was called Lusi” … and we were like omg that’s just great! :teary1:

But we still cut up Lusi anyway… so to answer the question… I wouldn’t mind. =p

A friend told me she ate her pet Gold fish and then blamed that a cat tipped the bowl and ate it.

Re: If you know the animal...

At a lot of these high end restaurants in Karachi, people will be surprised to know they're eating non-slaughtered meat, i mean it was already dead.

Re: If you know the animal...

Being discussed as in?

Re: If you know the animal...

ewee never, I'm already at the peek of becoming a vegetarian, so knowing the animal and seeing it cooked would officially make me one. Back when I was little, If I ever spent even a few hours with the qurbani bakra, I wouldn't eat it and would cry a river so yea...
