Re: If you got married & went abroad, answer ...
It depends on where you are moving. Do your in-laws all live where you are moving? Do they have lots of friends? Are they social in their community? If you answered yes to most of those questions, I would suggest taking:
3-4 Formal (for shaadis, etc)
5-7 Semi-Formal (for after wedding dawaats, shaadis of less close friends of family, etc)
10 Party Wear (I did not make enough of these and now I regret it!)
10-20 casual (if you plan to wear at home and out)
As for shoes...now that I look back on my shopping, I wish I had gotten more semi-fancy flats (chappal type) that I could wear with party wear outfits. Also, try to make sure you have 1 gold pair of sandals, 1 silver, 1 black, 1 brown, 1 bronze. And if you like to match your outfit exactly, then get matching pairs as well. But in Canada/US/UK, people take their shoes off once they get inside the house, so you wont be able to sit their and show-off your shoes at the party (LOL).
If you are moving abroad during winter (to the west) make sure you have closed toe shoes!
Re: If you got married & went abroad, answer ...
^ i agree with the above. Even though i didn't move to another country after getting married, but i told my MIL and my mom to make my outfits accrodingly. You should ask ur MIL/SIL or hubby to be abt there regular get togethers with friends n more. If it just ur husband there, thn u might not need that many heavy formal...etc.
Re: If you got married & went abroad, answer ...
My in-laws live in Pakistan but my husband has a bigg social circle. So i'm thinking of 3-4 heavy formals, 6-7 semi formals and 4-5 casuals shalwar kameez. (pants & shirts separately).
Will that do?
