If you could have it your way...

…and did not have to worry about offending anyone or logistical issues, who would CHOOSE your wedding outfit? Why? Would there be anyone else you would want involved in the decision?

Re: If you could have it your way...

I will design my own outfit. I won't mind taking suggestion from my mother and khala but I would like the design elements reflect me.
Khair, I am married now and have no regrets with what I wore. :)

Re: If you could have it your way...

i n mom decided my wedding outfit..n my saas is going to decide my valima outfit without asking me the color even!

Re: If you could have it your way...

I would choose my shaadi outfit with some input from my Phopho who makes all my clothes anyway...and then I would get some input from MIL for walima outfit to get her involved!

Re: If you could have it your way...

Asking what you prefer, not what actually happened :D

Re: If you could have it your way...

I would choose myself plus ask my older sis and mum for suggestions. It 'll be definitely red though.

Re: If you could have it your way...

SO and I would choose what we like and by that I mean I pick several designs that I like and ask him which one he likes and choose the one that in the end I liked most.. >.>

Re: If you could have it your way...

I chose my wedding and reception outfits. The only two people involved in the decision was my best friend and hubby. I didn't ask anyone else for their opinion. My taste in desi clothing is VERY different from my mother and my MIL......so I knew that getting them involved in any way would just lead to arguments/drama.

Re: If you could have it your way...

hmmm i guess me, second opinion from my cousin who is also my best friend...i dont think my family will object anyway with my choice.... :D

Re: If you could have it your way…

I’d choose it myself.

In fact, I had specific instructions for what I wanted, but everyone ignored it and got the first thing that they liked. The dress I had was nice…the kaam was nice..but the fitting was terrible..I’m still miffed that no one gave a damn to what I had wanted.

as for valima, I was asked the color I wanted, I gave it and my mom made a big stink about it…doesnt’ matter cz they chose another color anyway. :hehe:

Re: If you could have it your way...

I don't have any regrets over my wedding dress, but it is not what I originally wanted! My mother had complete and total say over that one, and I relinqueshed control as I did not want to add to the stress that was already on her planning the wedding of her youngest.

Had I had the chance to do it all over again, I would have gone with something more modern/contemporary in a total different color, that being said however, the dress my mom and sister worked on turned out very elegant, rich looking and timeless!

Re: If you could have it your way...

I'd have complete and total say BUT if I had to trust someone else...it'd be my sisters.

Re: If you could have it your way…

I would choose it, and nobody would even want to give their opinion :snooty:
