Re: If you could call yourself five years ago and had 30 seconds, what would you say?
-Don’t try so hard to be everything to everyone.
-You cannot please everyone, as some people do not want to be pleased by you.
-Find and pursue what you love.
-Be confident and stand up for yourself.
-Giving people the benefit of the doubt will hurt you, as not everyone deserves it. Still it is better to hope for the best.
-And remember that though the truth may be known to all parties, you still need to stand up for it and express it sometimes.
-Don’t blame yourself for others’ bad behavior.
-Don’t wait around for others to take responsibility for their own behavior. They most likely won’t.
-Do not rely so heavily on others’ opinion of you to determine your own self worth. You will only suffer for giving someone else that kind of power over you.
-You’ve been treated very well by your loved ones, and so you do not know what it truly means to NEED Allah’s love, but one day you will. Turn to Him.
-Learn from your child how to be a good parent. No one else’s opinion matters.
