Would you give him the chance to pick any of the sect, like Sunni’ism, Shia, ism, The two main sects? or just make him in to your sect believes depending on you whether you R shia or Sunni!

I guess the convert would naturally follow his converters sect, later on things might change ...
Its our Wits that make us MEN .... 'Braveheart'
Conversion should be to Islam. Sects are not encouraged in Islam. The real deen is from Qur’an and Sunnah. Any deviations are bad for the religion and must be avoided..
Rabbeshrah lee sadree; wa yassirlee amree; yafqahoo qaulee.
If someone becomes a Muslim because you explain you beliefs to them and they like it, then at least initially their beliefs would mirror yours.
A convert should be by default be sunni.
His/her ancestors had nothing to do with Karbala.
(For those muslims whose did, they still have nothing to do with it - do young americans blame themselves for what the native americans went through?)

very well said!
infact i have come across with some converts from my own school and yes they all did convert to suniz faith but for them it was a different story bcz they got themselves into some other matters for instacne hmmm they should follow which imamz teaching and that was something really confusing for them so they had hard time finding out wot exactly that meant!!
but by the help of allah they understood and are ok but i mean there is no need to bring these sort of issues up unless if that specific convert is intresting to know about his conversion sect!
What if both shia’ism and sunni’ism prove to be wrong in the end and it appears that Ahmadiyat was the right path
Ibrahim says: salaams to all
If that was the case, It would have been taught by the Prophet(pbuh) sent by Allah(swt) and not left to our whims and fancies.
Islam was revealed and practiced by Muslims , not shi’ism or ahmadia.
I would help them become a sufi, and encourage them to become a whirrling dervesh.
The originator of Ahmadiyat was a British servant, who they used to create a conflict within the ummah. He was challenged for a mubahala, lost and died a befitting death.
Rabbeshrah lee sadree; wa yassirlee amree; yafqahoo qaulee.
that wud happen only in ur dreams…
ahmadiyat and right path dont even look good written together…
yeah that wud be for him like out of the frying pan, into the fire…
sufism is NOT ISLAM…
I think we R missing the point here,
First of all when some one Converts his religion, it means a giant step for him and of course he was not satisfied with his religion!
Most of the ppl who convert to Islam is due to its purity, selflessness, sacrificial objectives and direct responsibility between ones and God!
So what ever sect they come in to, does’nt matter at the time of conversion as most of the sects have same basic ideology.
But it would be prudent to give the converter a chance to let him know about various islamic sect philosophies, being an honest person, so he can shoose what he thinks the best out of best!
LOL Fraudia, you are funny!

mm10, Sects are man made. As muslims we should guide our brothers & sisters to the one true religion sent down from the Almighty.
