if you can read the quran but dont know namaz, how long will it take you to learn it?

if you started attempting to learn it first, how long can it take , if i read every day.

i would like to bring namaz and a little bit more of my religion back into my life, because its gone AWOL. I admit i have not read namaz for years, mum and dad always told me and gave me long lectures on it, however on my own accord i still not chose not to do it. and slowly i have forgotten it. i can still read the quran, so i am able to read it again, however i can not remember the namaz, only the first 2 or 3 lines
plus i will have to remember the way it is read too. which i have forgotten as well.

So if i began to learn it again and practised learning it daily, how long should it take one? its not terribly difficult is it, and since i am able to read arabic should that make my job alot easier.

namaz is something i am ashamed i do not read, so please no berating me thankyou.

If you learned namaz once in your life, it shouldn't take long to re-learn it again.

But best way is to ask your mother. If she has been reminding you then I am sure she can teach you the way she prays it.

even if u dont know namaz … and just know few lines… start praying… at the same time continue learning namaz…

i teach young girls namaz and other basic religious knowledge stuff…

2 weeks ago i started teaching namaz to this young girl and now she is almost done…

really depends how dedicated u r…

u knew namaz already… i think if u revise is couple of times its gona come back…

I would like to add that whilst you learn the Arabic it is equally importan to understand the meaning in your mother tongue.

As she said she is 23 I guess it will be easier for her to understand the meaning and context.

Nadz, it will take you less than a week of consistent practice and you will be back to doing your namaz in no time.

Just memorize Surah Fatiha and a couple of short surahs to start off with. Also memorize the at-tahiyaat and durood Ibraheem, what to say at ruku and sajdah and follow your mom. Ask her to read aloud and just repeat after her. InshaAllah it will not be a big deal.

i dont know what at-tahiyaat or durood ibrahim is....:{ i will ask my mum she will be over the moon i just thought if i could learn it without her, atleast she wont be disappointed that ive forgotten it in the first place..she just thinks i dont bother reading, truth is i actually have forgtten and dont know it...

dude it happens i was young also when i learnt it but due to various reasons discontinued namaz.. now i am back to praying.. it was a bit hard but not too hard cuz i already knew the fundamentals..
